Ludwik Geyer

Ludwik Geyer was a pioneer of Łódź’s nineteenth-century textile industry and founder of the city’s White Factory. After arriving in Łódź in 1828, he expanded from a small workshop into a vertically integrated textile enterprise. His factory introduced one of the first steam-powered textile installations in the Kingdom of Poland, helping establish Łódź as a major industrial center.
