László Bíró

László Bíró was a Hungarian-born inventor whose most influential work transformed everyday writing: he developed the modern ballpoint pen. Drawing on his experience as a journalist, he combined quick-drying printing ink with a rotating ball mechanism that transferred ink smoothly to paper. His invention, later commercialized in Argentina, made his name synonymous with ballpoint pens in several countries.
