Juliusz Słowacki

Juliusz Słowacki was a major Polish Romantic poet and dramatist, regarded as one of Poland’s Three Bards. His writing—including *Kordian*, *Balladyna*, and *Beniowski*—combined national history and political concerns with mysticism, imaginative symbolism, and philosophical reflection. After serving the Polish National Government during the November Uprising, he lived in exile and drew on extensive travels through Europe and the Middle East in his literary work.
