John Robinson

John Arthur Thomas Robinson was an English New Testament scholar and Anglican bishop whose work combined biblical criticism with engagement in contemporary theology. As Bishop of Woolwich, he became a prominent radical voice in the Church of England, and his book *Honest to God* secured a wide readership. His scholarship also included studies of Christian eschatology and the historical setting of the New Testament.
