John Gokongwei

John Gokongwei was a Filipino businessman who built a major Philippine conglomerate from a food-manufacturing venture. He founded Universal Robina Corporation in 1954 and later established JG Summit Holdings, whose interests expanded across food and beverages, aviation, property, transportation, and petrochemicals. Through the Gokongwei Brothers Foundation, he also helped advance educational opportunities in the Philippines.
