Johan Cruyff

Johan Cruyff was a Dutch footballer and manager whose inventive play made him a defining figure in the development of modern attacking football. He starred for Ajax, Barcelona and the Netherlands, leading the Dutch side to the 1974 World Cup final and winning three consecutive European Cups with Ajax from 1971 to 1973. As Barcelona’s manager, he built the “Dream Team,” which won four successive Spanish league titles and the 1992 European Cup. His influence continued through the Johan Cruyff Foundation and Cruyff Courts, initiatives that expanded his legacy beyond professional football.
