Edgar Bronfman, Sr.

Edgar Bronfman, Sr. was a Canadian-American businessman who led the family-owned Seagram liquor company, expanding its products and international reach before retiring as chief executive in 1994. He also served for decades as president of the World Jewish Congress, where he advocated for Soviet Jewish emigration and pursued restitution for Holocaust victims. His business leadership and Jewish advocacy made him a prominent figure in both corporate and communal life.
