Cherry Natural

Cherry Natural, born Marcia Wedderburn, is a Jamaican dub poet and martial-arts instructor whose work connects spoken-word performance with women’s empowerment. She has collaborated with poet Lorna Goodison on workshops that pair poetry and self-defence for girls, using creative expression to build confidence and personal agency. Her practice extends beyond performance into community education, including self-defence training for women and young people.
